Pampanga Tour 2016

My first time in Pampanga City. It was great and i really enjoyed it a lot. The name "Pampanga" comes from the word pangpang meaning riverbank, a fitting name for a flat country crisscrossed by a hundred small branches of the Pampanga River. The province lies in the southern portion of the central plains of Luzon. Pampanga has old  historical churches.

PAL Launches an Enhanced Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity System

I'm excited about this Philippine Airline event and they officially re-launched today its new Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity System providing passengers a redefined, innovative and entertaining way to fly. This is very useful for me if I'm in a flight with PAL because I can contact my love ones and friends if I'm already near to my destination and I can post some pictures in social media. The system has four components: myPAL eSuite, myPAL Player, myPAL Wi-fi and myPAL Mobile, you can ask also some assistance with the flight attendant how to connect with their system. PAL is doing a good job and people will really enjoy all of their flights going abroad or just here in the Philippines, and I hope so I can experience it this new system of PAL.

Celebrating Birthdays at View Park Hotel Tagaytay

Birthdays are best to celebrate with your family and loved ones. My family lives in Zamboanga, Davao and in Manila. I can't remember when was the last time I celebrated my birthday with my brothers as we all have our separates lives now. But I am the luckiest guy to celebrate my birthday at the View Park Hotel Tagaytay with my girl.

Going to Tagaytay from Manila is 2 to 2.5-hr drive with a little traffic. You have 2 options, one is via SLEX Sta Rosa Exit and the other is via Aguinaldo Highway Las Pinas - Cavite way. Via commute you can take Silang-Tagaytay Bus from Manila Park and Ride Terminal Bus Station.

View Park Hotel is located at Calamba Road West Sungay Tagaytay and right in front of Picnic Grove Tagaytay.  Hotel Room prices range from 2,900 pesos to 4,000 pesos with breakfast buffet and free use of swimming pool.

It was really a surprise from my girl and View Park Hotel staff to have a special birthday celebration here. They managed to surprise me with these - cake, balloons, and bed of flowers spelled "Happy Birthday".

The following day at breakfast the hotel staff again surprised me with an ice cream dessert and sang "Happy Birthday" song to me together with the other hotel guests. It was memorable and a first-time experience for me. I could never ask for more my love.

Thank you View Park Hotel for these birthday surprise! I had the best Birthday ever and I can;t wait to spend another special occasion here.

Lunch Out at The Sunny Side Cafe in Boracay

Boracay is the most popular beach here in the Philippines. The island has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. One of the best (for me) restaurant here is the Sunny Side Cafe. There's a lot of foreigners and locals dining here. If you wanna splurge with your partner or family and friends and share awesome goodness food try Sunny Side Cafe.

Mandala Spa & Villas

The Mandala Spa & Villas

Upon entering this huge property, you can immediately feel the relaxing ambiance and tons of trees and plants will welcome you here. Mandala Spa is just along the road right after Station 3 - D' Palengke. You will not miss this huge signage outside the property.

The place was very relaxing and the calmness vibe around the property and you feel relaxed right away.

 View of the reception area.

I have been to many spas and this by far the most and on top of my list now.

Who wouldn't love the nature and ambiance here at Mandala Spa? I mean, it's perfect for honeymoon and couples.

Also, they are selling organic products and some pasalubongs/gifts for your friends/family.

Before they start the massage, they will clean first your feet and massage it just a little bit. After that, they will ask you and let you smell 4 different oil that you may choose 1 to use on your body massage.

This massage room has a bathtub and you can also take a bath here before you start your massage.

The quiet, relaxing and wooden spa room will give you the utmost relaxing feel. I had 60-minute Mandala Spa traditional spa. It was a memorable and the most relaxing and lavish massage I ever had. Thank you Mandala Spa for letting me experience your 5-star spa service.

Iwahig Prison & Penal Farm in Palawan

The Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm

The Puerto Princesa Palawan is a Big Prison farm - Iwahig Prison & Penal Farm. The prisoners here are working at the farm as laborers. The government build this so that the prisoners can work and live life like normal and some of them are allowed to be visited by their family. This is my 1st time to visit a place like this. When we think about a prison, first think that came to your mind is a living hell but here they work and prisoners are trying thwir best to change for better. Some of the prisoners are free here, but they prepared to stay here in Iwahig because life is here for them and they have this thinking that people outside will always have stigma about ex convicts. So some of them chose to stay here. The work of the prisoners here is to plant a rice.

Lets check out the pictures of Iwahig. I got few pictures only.

This is the main entrance of the Iwahig Prison & Penal Farm. The security here are very strict. Drivers are always living their ID's here.

This is there Rice Farm.

Look at that, another prison cell ahead. We did not go there anymore. On the road, you will see many inmates that are done doing their jobs for the day.

These men used to be a prisoner here in Ibawig. We ask if we can take pictures of them. The inmates told us, "its ok to take picture of us because we are free already". They are selling some product that they personally made.

Another great day in Puerto Princesa Palawan. Life here is really peaceful. Lot's of places to go here and you will really enjoy your stay in Palawan. You need to experience going here in Iwahig Prison & Penal Farm and know the history and talk to the men here. It's surprisingly safe here unlike other prison in the Philippines.

The Underground River in Puerto Princesa Palawan

I'm so excited to witness this historical and most beautiful place in Palawan. The nature here and the wild life is so amazing. The Palawan's underground river is very popular to tourists because of the beautiful historical structure inside of the underground river cave. Also you can see lots of small bats and small birds. At 1st the smell is really too much because of the bat pee and poop. But if you're in the middle of it, the smell starts to fade away.

Basic Black

I have always been comfy wearing a simple shirt and khaki shorts. A casual wear is my go-to outfit whenever I will go out with my girl or with buddies.

I have a very few polo shirts and I have tons of shirt from all basic shades.

Snickers from Polo RL is very comfy and I'm loving the Navy Blue with few shades of Tangerine.

Top - Bench Shirt
Shorts - Bazaar
Shoes - Polo RL
Watch - Alexandre Christie

So, how do I look?

Caltex™ all-new Techron® Glides into Retail Stations

New Clean & Glide technology improves fuel economy over time by delivering enhanced engine protection and maximized power.

Manila, Philippines, June 28, 2016 — Ever conscious of the needs of motorists, the Caltex™ brand has reformulated its signature additive package with the addition of a new Clean & Glide technology™. The new active ingredients are specifically designed to clean and protect metal surfaces within the engine. Helping reduce friction and thus wear and tear between key engine components, Clean & Glide technology delivers enhanced engine protection, improved fuel economy and maximized power with continued use over time, all key in helping provide a more reliable motoring experience.

The benefits of Caltex with Techron® have long been known and making changes to a proven formula was not undertaken lightly. Chevron, which markets the Caltex™ brand, conducted stringent laboratory tests and accumulated up to 600,000km of real world fleet tests to ensure the final formula provides optimum results for the everyday motorist.

   Picture's Taken from the event.

The ability of the new formulation to protect metal surfaces was proven in the High Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR) laboratory test. The standard diesel lubricity test was modified to safely assess the lubricating properties of gasoline. The results indicated that when compared to its predecessor in a controlled environment, Caltex’s new formulation with Clean & Glide technology was able to reduce metal wear and friction by an average of 38 percent and 41 percent respectively using gasoline from around Asia Pacific and South Africa. This is important because Caltex with Techron® is formulated to instantly reduce friction in the upper cylinder area of your engine. With continued use, Clean & Glide technology will begin to build–up in your car’s crankcase lubricant to replenish friction modifiers that are consumed during normal operation. Separate laboratory tests simulating this build-up of Techron® in the lubricant demonstrated the effectiveness of Clean & Glide technology™ to improve fuel efficiency by up to 3 percent, when compared to the previous formulation.

“The addition of our new Clean & Glide technology™stays true to the evolving nature of our Techron® fuel offering. Our products are continuously being improved in anticipation of future engine technology and local market needs. For motorists, a quick Caltex stop now delivers  gasoline grades that help treat their respective cars right, providing additional benefits without compromise,”  said Peter Morris, country chair of Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI), marketer of the Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants.

He added that the new 5-star fuel is a further testament of the brand’s desire to provide the best possible fuel for motorists. “We are confident that our best gasoline yet meets expectations and have enlisted engineering expert Grant Imahara, formerly of Discovery’s Mythbusters series, to creatively demonstrate the benefits of Clean & Glide technology which will be showcased on television soon.”

The new and improved Techron with Clean & Glide Technology will be available across all gasoline grades at Caltex service stations starting July 1. To gain the benefits of a more efficient engine more quickly, motorists may opt for Caltex Platinum  with Techron®, with 50 percent more active ingredients of Clean & Glide technology™ to make it faster-acting. Caltex Platinum with Techron® is set to replace the Gold variant.

The addition of Clean & Glide Technology is another relevant innovation from Caltex™, joining the ranks of TechronD for diesel engines and Techron Concentrate Plus, a concentrated additive that provides a deep clean for gasoline vehicles in one tankful.
